Liza Helps has no clue how she landed up where she is and frequently finds herself doing things she did not entirely plan.

She didn’t plan on being a journalist but has somehow managed to be paid for her writing in some form or another for the past 25 years.

You won’t find her work among the glossy tomes in the Airport lounge nor find her byline in your old fish and chip paper nor is she the author of any of those free self-help books you can download on Kindle.

She once came across one of her articles in the West Suffolk College library at the back on the bottom shelf near the photo copier….it was a seminal moment.

You can Google her; she appears 16,200 times but a lot of that is misleading because with a surname that is also a verb not everything that comes out is necessarily about her esp. the life coach stuff and the stuff about Liza Minnelli, oh and the stuff about the hairdresser from Peterborough…
